About This Model

The Monitor Audio Bronze BX1 is a compact bookshelf loudspeaker built around a 1-inch gold dome C-CAM tweeter paired with a 5.5-inch C-CAM bass/mid-range driver. The cabinet uses a rear-ported bass reflex design with Monitor Audio's HiVe II port technology, and the woofer is mounted on the back panel to reduce vibration transmission to the front baffle - a detail that reflects the engineering care put into the BX1's construction. With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a power handling of up to 70W RMS, the speakers are compatible with a wide range of amplifiers rated between 15 and 70W RMS. The compact dimensions of 260 × 165 × 180 mm make them well suited to smaller listening spaces without sacrificing the C-CAM driver technology found across Monitor Audio's higher-tier lines.
