This Hi-Fi speaker is in excellent condition. It has passed our full 7-point functional test with perfect results. Note: Both speakers are in amazing condition with virtually no surface marks or scratches. They both sound fantastic, with clean, clear audio throughout. The only issue is that one speaker is missing one of the gold bridge links on the rear binding posts, though these are readily available to purchase online. The Monitor Audio Silver 300 7G is a three-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker built around Monitor Audio's C-CAM (ceramic-coated aluminium/magnesium) driver technology. The cabinet houses a 1-inch gold dome tweeter, a 3-inch midrange driver, and two 6-inch bass drivers, delivering a frequency response of 31 Hz to 35 kHz. The tweeter sits within a Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II for controlled sound projection, while Rigid Surface Technology II (RST II) across the drivers works to reduce distortion. Dual rear-firing HiVe II ports handle bass loading, and connection to an amplifier is via speaker-level binding posts. Monitor Audio specifies a sensitivity of 87.5 dB and a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms, recommending amplification of between 80 and 200 Watts. This pair is finished in a real-wood Walnut veneer.
