About this model
The Monitor Audio Gold 100 6G is a three-way stand-mount loudspeaker built around a 1 x 8-inch HDT C-CAM bass driver, a 1 x 3-inch HDT C-CAM midrange driver, and Monitor Audio's MPD III micro-pleated diaphragm tweeter - a configuration that spans a frequency range of 49 Hz to 60 kHz (free-field), or an impressive 32 Hz to 60 kHz in-room. The crossover network splits at 700 Hz and 2.6 kHz, while a rear-firing HiVe II bass reflex port tuned to 38 Hz underpins low-end extension. With 86.5 dB sensitivity, a nominal 4-ohm impedance, and 250 W continuous power handling, the Gold 100 6G is equally at home driven by a modest integrated amplifier or a high-current separate. Bi-amp inputs allow dual-cable connection for those wanting to extract maximum performance from the design.
