About This Model

The Monitor Audio Bronze BX1 is a compact bookshelf loudspeaker built around Monitor Audio's proprietary C-CAM (ceramic-coated aluminium/magnesium) driver technology. Each cabinet houses a 25mm gold dome C-CAM tweeter crossed over at 3.2kHz to a 140mm C-CAM bass/mid-range driver, with the woofer mounted on the rear panel to reduce vibration transmission to the front baffle. A rear-ported bass reflex enclosure using Monitor Audio's HiVe® II port technology extends the frequency response down to 55Hz, while the top end reaches 30kHz. Rated at 8 ohms nominal impedance and 88dB sensitivity, the BX1 is comfortable with amplifiers delivering anywhere from 15 to 70W, making it an easy match for a wide range of integrated amplifiers and receivers.
