About This Model
The Marantz UD5007 is a universal disc player supporting Blu-ray, DVD, DVD-Audio, SACD, and CD playback. Audio conversion is handled by a PCM1781 DAC at 192 kHz / 24-bit, with support for DSD from SACD via HDMI, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, and Dolby Digital Plus decoding. A Pure Direct mode strips the signal path back to audio only, and the unit outputs two-channel analogue via gold-plated Cinch connectors alongside a single HDMI output with Deep Color, 3D, and CEC support. Network connectivity includes Ethernet and a front USB port, with DLNA 1.5 and UPnP certification enabling streaming of FLAC, WAV, MP3, AAC, and video formats. The fanless, fully shielded mechanism and physically separated subsystems - mechanism, main board, power supply, and display - are designed to minimise vibration and electrical interference for cleaner playback.
