About this model
The Marantz PM4000 is a stereo integrated amplifier delivering 30W per channel into 8Ω and 40W per channel into 4Ω, with dynamic power peaks of up to 70W into 4Ω. It offers three line-level inputs, a dedicated MM phono input, and a CD-R/MD terminal, plus tape and CD-R/MD outputs and a headphone jack. Dual binding posts accept banana plugs and drive two sets of speakers. Bass, treble and loudness controls are included, along with a Tone Defeat switch that bypasses the tone circuitry for a more direct signal path.
