About This Model

The M-Audio Oxygen 8 is a compact 25-key USB MIDI controller designed for use with DAWs and external MIDI hardware. Its synth-action, velocity-sensitive keys are unweighted and light to play, making it well-suited to programming and performance in tight spaces. On-board controls include 8 MIDI-assignable knobs, a data-entry slider, pitch bend and modulation wheels, octave and transpose buttons, and a 3-digit LED display for feedback. Connectivity covers USB (which also powers the unit), a 5-pin DIN MIDI Out, and a 1/4" sustain pedal input; it can alternatively run on six AA batteries or an optional 9V DC adapter, giving it genuine portability away from a desk.
