About This Model
The Loewe Subwoofer I Sound is the active subwoofer from Loewe's Individual Sound speaker system, designed to partner Loewe televisions and the Auro 2216 PS DVD preceiver with Dolby Digital and Pro Logic surround, expandable from stereo to a full 5.1 configuration. It is more than a subwoofer in the usual sense: the cabinet houses six channels of digital output stages, meaning it acts as the amplifier for the satellite and stand speakers in the system as well as reproducing the low end itself. The subwoofer section is a one-way active bass reflex design built around a single 200mm bass driver, rated at 100 watts sine and 150 watts maximum music power, with the satellite channels rated at 50 watts sine and 65 watts maximum. Transmission range is 38Hz to 250Hz ±3dB with adjustable bass intensity of ±12dB, an adjustable crossover frequency and a phase switch, running from 220-240 volts with maximum power consumption of 250 watts and under 0.5 watts in standby. System connection is via a 25-pin D-Sub Systemlink audio link. The cabinet measures 43.3 x 25 x 34.3cm and weighs 13.2kg.
