About This Model

The Leak Sandwich speakers are a modern revival of a classic British loudspeaker concept, available as the 2-way Sandwich 150 and the 3-way Sandwich 250. Both models are passive speakers designed to be driven by an external amplifier. Their defining feature is Leak's aluminium-foamcore sandwich cone technology, in which a stiff aluminium skin is bonded to aircraft-grade PMI structural foam for enhanced rigidity and clarity. Cabinet construction layers MDF and high-density particle board separated by a damping adhesive to reduce resonance, and dual rear ports support bass response. Each pair is finished in hand-applied walnut veneer with aluminium driver trims, and the units are designed as mirror-imaged pairs to support precise stereo imaging.
