About this model

The Leak 2060 is a 3-way, acoustically suspended floor-standing loudspeaker produced in England between 1975 and 1978. Each cabinet houses three drive units: a 30 cm sandwich cone woofer, a 10 cm plastic cone midrange, and a 2.5 cm plastic dome tweeter - the latter widely identified as a Wharfedale unit with a distinctive bright purple dome. The crossover network hands off at 600 Hz and 3.5 kHz, with the system covering a frequency range of 45 Hz to 25 kHz. The enclosure itself is constructed from 18 mm plywood with 15 mm asphalt damping material, giving it a 60-litre sealed internal volume and a substantial weight of 23.1 kg per speaker. Nominal impedance is 6 ohms with a power handling rating of 50 watts DIN.
