Condition: Fair

This synthesizer is in fair condition. Our 10-point functional test was completed in full: all checks passed except all keys respond. Note: The keyboard is in Fair condition due to the A5 key not functioning. All other functions are working as expected. Cosmetically, the unit has a number of light surface marks and scratches throughout. Most noticeably, there are small dents on both sides which have caused some minor cracking to the wood trim. Please review all photos carefully, as they provide an accurate representation of the cosmetic condition of the product.

About this model

The Kurzweil PC3A8 is an 88-key synthesizer workstation built around the Fatar TP40L fully-weighted hammer-action keybed, offering both velocity and aftertouch sensitivity alongside a quick-release spring mechanism suited to piano and synth playing alike. Its sound engine runs Kurzweil's Dynamic VAST synthesis with user-programmable DSP algorithms, augmented by VA1 Inside technology for anti-aliasing and analog emulation. The PC3A8 delivers 128 voices of polyphony and 16-part multitimbrality, backed by the KORE 64 and German D Grand EXP Piano sound ROMs and 1,453 factory presets. Connectivity is well-appointed, with four balanced quarter-inch TRS outputs, stereo S/PDIF digital out, hardware MIDI In/Out/Thru, and USB for MIDI and file transfer. Performance controls include 9 front-panel sliders, 10 switches, dual pitch and modulation wheels, and inputs for pedals, a Super Ribbon, and a breath controller - making it a deeply expressive instrument for studio and stage use.

A great opportunity to own a Kurzweil PC3A8 at this price point.
