About This Model

The Kurzweil PC2X is an 88-key digital synthesizer built around Kurzweil's VAST (Variable Architecture Synthesis Technology) sound engine, offering 64 voices of polyphony - expandable to 128 - and 536 factory presets. The keyboard features a two-piece weighted hammer action with mono pressure sensitivity, giving it a genuinely piano-like feel suited to demanding players. It supports 16-part multitimbrality, dual effects processors with extensive routing, and a KB3 mode for modeled tonewheel organ sounds. I/O includes two balanced 1/4" TRS analogue outputs, RCA digital output (AES/EBU and S/P-DIF), full MIDI In/Out/Thru, multiple pedal and footswitch inputs, a breath controller input, Super Ribbon input, four sliders, and five programmable switches - making it a highly configurable performance and studio instrument.
