About this model

The KEF Q1 is a compact passive bookshelf speaker built around KEF's Uni-Q driver array, which places a 1" vented aluminium dome tweeter at the centre of a 5.25" aluminium cone LF/MF driver. In the current Q1 Meta generation, this is paired with Metamaterial Absorption Technology that soaks up 99% of unwanted rear-driver noise, plus a Shadow Flare waveguide to reduce cabinet diffraction. It connects to an external amplifier via binding posts and suits amps in the 10-150 W range, with a frequency response of 51 Hz-20 kHz (±3dB). Older Q1 generations share the same passive bookshelf format but pre-date the MAT and 12th-gen Uni-Q refinements.
