About This Model

The KEF LS50 Wireless II is a self-powered, all-in-one stereo speaker system built around KEF's 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array, which pairs a 130mm aluminium cone low-frequency driver with a 25mm vented aluminium dome tweeter at its acoustic centre. Crucially, each speaker incorporates Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) to absorb unwanted rear-wave distortion from the tweeter, resulting in notably cleaner high-frequency reproduction. Amplification is handled internally, with each speaker receiving 280W Class D to the LF driver and 100W Class A/B to the HF driver — 760W of total system power — enabling a maximum SPL of 108dB at 1 metre and a frequency response of 45Hz–28kHz. Connectivity is extensive: the primary speaker offers HDMI eARC, TOSLINK optical, coaxial, and 3.5mm analogue inputs alongside RJ45 Ethernet, dual RCA subwoofer outputs, and wireless support for AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Bluetooth 5.0, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect. High-resolution network streaming reaches up to 384kHz/24-bit, with MQA and DSD128 also supported.
