About this model

The JVC KD-V22 is a 2-head single compact cassette deck from 1983, supporting Type I (Normal), Type II (CrO₂), and Type IV (Metal) tape formulations. Its logic control mechanism uses soft-touch transport buttons driven by the motor rather than solenoids, giving the deck quiet, precise and reliable operation. Recording levels are monitored via a six-LED-per-channel multi-peak indicator, while ANRS/B and Dolby C noise reduction help keep backgrounds clean. Frequency response extends to 16kHz with Metal tape, and wow and flutter is rated at 0.2%, reflecting solid transport engineering for its era. A line-level output of 0.3V and a microphone input make it straightforward to integrate into a home hi-fi setup for both playback and recording.

A great opportunity to own a JVC KD-V22 at this price point.
