About this model
The IK Multimedia iRig 2 is a compact, portable guitar and bass audio interface designed to connect directly to iOS, Android, and Mac devices via a 3.5mm TRRS jack. It accepts instrument signal through a 1/4" input jack and features a thumbwheel for adjustable input gain - a key improvement over the original iRig - along with a selectable dual-mode FX/THRU switch. A dedicated 1/4" amplifier output lets you run simultaneously to an external amp without any adaptor, while a 1/4" headphone output handles silent monitoring. Frequency response spans 20Hz-20kHz (+/- 0.2 dB) with an input impedance of 380 kOhms, and the unit runs on 2 x AA batteries. A Velcro strip is included for mounting to a microphone stand, and bundled software includes AmpliTube FREE for iOS and Mac/PC.
