About This Model

The Ibanez TS7 Tube Screamer is an analog overdrive pedal built around the classic JRC4558D op-amp chip, delivering the warm, mid-forward breakup that the Tube Screamer circuit is known for. A two-position Mode switch lets you choose between TS9 mode — which replicates the vintage TS9 circuit — and Hot mode, which engages an additional gain stage for heavier saturation and more volume on tap. Three knobs (Drive, Tone, and Level) give straightforward control over the core sound, while the metal Tone-Lok enclosure allows the knobs to be physically recessed into the chassis to protect your dialled-in settings between sessions. It accepts a standard 9V battery or AC adapter and draws just 8mA, making it easy to run on almost any pedal board power supply.
