About This Model

The Genelec 8030A is a bi-amplified nearfield monitor driven by two separate 40-watt amplifiers - one dedicated to the bass driver and one to the tweeter - delivering controlled, accurate playback across the frequency range. It connects via balanced XLR input, making it a natural partner for audio interfaces and mixers in studio environments. The enclosure uses Genelec's Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) design with rounded edges to reduce cabinet-edge diffraction and smooth out the frequency response, while the Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) maintains consistent response both on and off axis. An Iso-Pod stand is built in for flexible positioning and mechanical decoupling from the desk surface. Overload protection circuitry and magnetic shielding round out the feature set.
