About This Model

The Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 is a FireWire 400 audio interface offering 20 inputs and 20 outputs, built around eight analogue microphone/line inputs equipped with Focusrite preamps. It records at up to 24-bit/96 kHz and features ADAT optical I/O, S/PDIF coaxial and optical I/O, and MIDI In/Out, making it a capable hub for studio sessions that need to expand via an ADAT-connected preamp or converter. JetPLL jitter-elimination technology keeps clocking tight, while zero-latency DSP monitoring is handled through the Saffire MixControl software. Two independent headphone outputs each have their own level control, and an anti-thump circuit protects monitors on power-up and power-down.
