About this model
The Focusrite Platinum VoiceMaster Pro is a mono channel strip built around a discrete Class-A mic/line preamp offering up to 60dB of gain. It combines a full suite of processing in a single rack unit: an optical compressor with switchable Hard/Soft Ratio and Fast/Slow Attack, an optical expander for noise gating, and an optical de-esser that targets frequencies between 2.2kHz and 10kHz without ducking the full signal. Tone shaping comes via a Vintage Harmonics processor emulating tape saturation, a tuneable Tube Sound FET circuit, and a four-band voice-optimised EQ covering Breath, Mid, Absence, and Warmth ranges. A variable low-cut filter (30-400Hz), phasing switch, and zero-latency monitoring section round out the feature set. Inputs include a front-panel XLR mic jack, instrument jack, rear balanced line input, and insert send/return, with outputs including balanced XLR and jack, a pre-de-esser XLR output, and an optional S/PDIF digital output via add-on card.
A great opportunity to own a Focusrite Platinum VoiceMaster Pro at this price point.
