About This Model

The Fender FB-58 is a 5-string resonator banjo built around a laminated maple body with a steel tension hoop and a heavy bell bronze tone ring — the latter contributing significantly to its projection and sustain. The maple neck pairs with a rosewood fingerboard featuring snowflake position inlays and 22 medium frets over a 26-1/2" scale length. A Remo head, maple-and-rosewood bridge, gold-plated trapezoid tailpiece, and die-cast tuners round out the spec sheet, while an armrest adds playing comfort. The resonator can be removed for an open-back configuration, giving players flexibility over tone and volume.
