Condition: Fair

This cassette deck is in fair condition. It has passed our 10-point functional test, with 4 item(s) not applicable to this unit. Note: The unit is in working order, though playback can be intermittent. On occasion, the deck will stop mid-play and eject or halt the tape unexpectedly - however, this occurred in roughly 10% of tests, with normal playback the majority of the time. Additionally, the record function does not appear to be operational; no audio could be recorded via the line-in inputs. Cosmetically, the unit is in good condition with only minor surface marks and light scratches. Please review all photos carefully, as they provide an accurate representation of the cosmetic condition of the product.

About this model

The Denon DRM-600 is a 2-head, single compact cassette deck produced between 1990 and 1991. It uses a 4-track, 2-channel stereo configuration with a tape speed of 4.8 cm/s, and is driven by a dual-motor transport (one capstan, one reel) for stable playback. It supports Type I, CrO2, and Metal tape formulations, and includes Dolby B and Dolby C noise reduction alongside HX Pro headroom extension - a combination that squeezes strong performance from the cassette format. Frequency response extends to 20Hz-20kHz on Metal tape, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 74dB under Dolby C and wow and flutter rated at 0.055%.

A great opportunity to own a Denon DRM-600 at this price point.
