About This Model
The DBX 266A is a dual-channel analog compressor and noise gate built for studio and live sound use. It features DBX's OverEasy® compression technology, which delivers smooth, transparent transitions in and out of compression, and a PeakStop® limiter to prevent clipping and distortion. Each channel offers independent control over Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, and Output Gain, and the unit can run in stereo-linked or dual-mono mode depending on your application. Connectivity includes balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs and outputs on each channel, along with a sidechain insert for external triggering. A built-in power supply means no external adapter is needed.
