About this model
The Cambridge Audio EXA100 is a fully-featured integrated stereo amplifier delivering 100W RMS per channel into 8 ohms (155W into 4 ohms) via a Class A/B circuit built around a massive shielded toroidal transformer, with trickle-down engineering from Cambridge's flagship Edge M monoblock amplifiers. Connectivity is exceptionally broad: four RCA inputs, one XLR balanced input, coaxial and optical digital inputs, an asynchronous USB Type-B port handling PCM up to 24-bit/384kHz and DSD256, HDMI eARC, and Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD. At its digital heart sits an ESS Technology ES9018K2M SABRE32 DAC, while outputs include RCA pre-out, a dedicated subwoofer output, and a 6.3mm headphone socket. A power amplifier bypass mode allows the EXA100 to operate as a pure power amp, and a damping factor of greater than 160 ensures tight, authoritative control over loudspeakers.
