About this model
The Cambridge Audio CD5 V3.0 is a stereo CD player built around a custom Cambridge Audio servo solution and a Wolfson Microelectronics WM8725 DAC. It offers both stereo L/R RCA analogue outputs and a digital optical TOSLINK output, making it easy to connect to an amplifier or external DAC. It also plays MP3 discs, though MP3 playback is not available through the digital output. Quoted specifications include a 10Hz-20kHz frequency response, a signal-to-noise ratio above 110dB and dynamic range above 94dB. It has no USB connectivity and no CD-Text support, so it suits those who want a straightforward disc spinner for a hi-fi system.
A great opportunity to own a Cambridge Audio CD5 V3.0 at this price point.
