About This Model

The Burns Double Six is a 12-string electric guitar built around the distinctive Burns 'Strat-with-sharper-horns' body shape, shared with the Marvin and Shadows bass models. It carries a set of Tri-Sonic pickups wired in a straightforward Strat-style configuration - a three-way selector switch, one master volume, and two tone controls - delivering the chiming, harmonically rich output characteristic of a 12-string electric. The neck is notably wide, with a fingerboard approaching two inches across, giving it a broader playing feel than rivals such as the Rickenbacker. The bridge is a floating metal bar mounted over a heavy-pin tailpiece, offering a simple, fixed-slant intonation setup. One of the guitar's most immediately striking features is its dramatically extended headstock, whose elongated, angular profile makes it instantly recognisable.
