About this model
The Bugera BVP5500 is a 550-watt hybrid bass amplifier head combining a quad 12AX7 tube preamp with a MOSFET power stage, delivering the warmth of valves alongside solid-state reliability and headroom. Tone-shaping is extensive: a 9-band graphic EQ sits alongside a 3-band EQ with sweepable mids, plus switchable Bright, Ultra Low, and Ultra High filters, giving players precise control over their low-end character. A Valve Gain control lets you dial in power-amp dynamics and compression, while a full effects loop, balanced XLR line out, dual speaker outputs, Speakon connector, and dedicated tuner output make it equally at home on stage or in the studio. A dual footswitch for Mute and Graphic EQ on/off is also included.
