About this model
The Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive is an overdrive pedal built around an asymmetrical soft-clipping circuit designed to emulate the response of a tube amp pushed into breakup. Its mid-focused voicing, with a hump around 800Hz, makes it a popular choice both for adding grit and as a clean boost or tightener in front of high-gain amps. Three simple controls (Drive, Tone and Level) keep it easy to dial in, and it runs from a 9V DC supply or a single 9V battery. Note that it uses buffered bypass rather than true bypass, and the tough metal chassis is built to handle regular gigging.
A great opportunity to own a Boss SD-1 at this price point.
