About this model
The Boss RV-3 is a discontinued digital reverb and delay pedal produced through 2002, offering 11 modes across three categories: delay (up to 2,000ms), reverb (Room 1, Room 2, Hall, and Plate), and four combined delay/reverb modes that let a single pedal cover both effects simultaneously. Its controls - Balance, Tone/Feedback, Reverb Time/Delay Time, and an 11-way Mode switch - keep the interface straightforward while offering meaningful range. The RV-3's sonic character is distinctly shaped by its 1990s DSP hardware, producing a cold, atmospheric digital quality with a slightly metallic edge that many players seek out precisely for that character. It accepts a mono input and outputs in stereo via two 1/4-inch jacks, running on 9V DC.
