About This Model

The Boss BR-600 is a portable digital multitrack recorder built for songwriters and musicians who want a capable recording setup without being tied to a computer. It offers 8 simultaneous playback tracks with up to 2 simultaneous recording tracks, and expands to 64 virtual tracks via 8 V-Tracks per physical track - giving plenty of room for overdubbing and take management. Inputs include two balanced 1/4" jack channels (XLR-compatible via adapter), RCA line in, and built-in stereo microphones, while output options cover RCA line out, a 1/4" headphone jack, and USB for computer data transfer. Onboard processing includes COSM guitar and bass amp models, vocal effects, pitch correction, and a built-in drum machine with velocity-sensitive pads and loadable rhythm patterns. Storage is via CompactFlash card, and the unit runs on DC 9V adaptor or 6 AA batteries for approximately 5 hours of portable use.
