About This Model
The Boss AB-2 is a compact 2-way selector pedal built for guitarists and bassists who need to switch between two signal paths without interruption. It features two 1/4-inch A and B jacks alongside a single shared IN/OUT jack, allowing it to function as either an input selector or an output switcher — routing one guitar to two amplifiers, or toggling between two instruments into one amp. Switching is handled silently via electronic circuitry, with a red LED indicating Input A and a yellow LED for Input B. The unit runs on two AAA batteries or an optional 9V DC power supply, drawing just 5 mA or less, and is housed in Boss's characteristically rugged metal enclosure.
