About this model
The Besson Sovereign BE950 is an Eb tenor horn built around a .466" (11.84 mm) bore and a hand-hammered yellow brass bell measuring 8" (203 mm) in diameter. It uses three top-sprung, hand-lapped Monel piston valves for smooth action, and two lever-style forged waterkeys for easy maintenance. The tubing configuration is designed for balanced tone and response, and the horn weighs around 4lb 6oz (1980g). It is offered in clear lacquer or silver plate finishes.
