About This Model

The Behringer Multicom Pro-XL MDX4600 is a 1U rack-mount 4-channel dynamics processor offering compression, limiting, expansion, and gating in a single unit. Channels 1/2 and 3/4 can be linked for stereo operation, making it equally suited to live PA inserts and studio mix bus work. Behringer's IKA (Interactive Knee Adaptation) circuit blends hard and soft knee compression characteristics program-adaptively, while a Dynamic Enhancer works to counteract the dulling effect that heavy compression can introduce. A switchable Low-Contour sidechain filter helps prevent low-frequency content from triggering unwanted pumping, and the IGC Peak Limiter provides a safety net against transient overloads. Servo-balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS connections are provided on every channel, with switchable +4 dBu / -10 dBV operating levels and 8-segment LED metering for input, output, and gain reduction on each channel.
