About This Model
The Behringer HB01 Hellbabe is a multifunction wah-wah pedal built around an optical sensor rather than a traditional potentiometer, delivering smooth, noise-free expression with greater long-term durability. A spring-back pedal mechanism automatically returns to the heel-down position when released, engaging true bypass without any tap of a footswitch. The frequency range is adjustable - heel-down sweeps between 440 Hz and 250 Hz, while the Fine control pushes the toe-down peak up to 2.2 kHz - making it usable on both guitar and bass. A Q control shapes the bandwidth of the wah from a tight, vocal bite to a wide, sweeping filter, and a dedicated boost footswitch adds up to +15 dB of gain for solos. Connectivity includes a standard instrument input alongside both an effect output and a separate dry output, and the pedal runs on a 9V battery or 9VDC adapter.
