About This Model

The Behringer A500 is a stereo Class AB push-pull power amplifier built for studio monitoring, live sound, and Hi-Fi use. It delivers around 160 W per channel into 8 ohms or approximately 230 W per channel into 4 ohms, with a bridged mono mode rated at 500 W into 8 ohms. A dual-mono layout gives each channel its own independent power supply, and a toroidal transformer combined with a fanless convection-cooling design keeps operation completely silent - an important advantage in critical listening environments. Inputs cover balanced XLR, balanced/unbalanced 1/4" TRS, and unbalanced RCA, while outputs include professional binding posts and 1/4" TS connectors.
