About This Model

The Audio-Technica AT3035 is a large-diaphragm, side-address cardioid condenser microphone built around a 1-inch fixed-charge backplate electret capsule. It covers the full 20–20,000 Hz frequency range with a self-noise floor of just 12 dB SPL (A-weighted) and a dynamic range of 136 dB, making it well suited to vocals, acoustic instruments, and detailed studio tracking work. A -10 dB pad extends the maximum SPL handling to 158 dB, while a low-frequency roll-off switch (-12 dB/octave at 80 Hz) helps tame room rumble or proximity effect. The mic connects via an integral 3-pin XLR and accepts phantom power from 11–52V DC.
