About This Model

The Ashdown Toneman 600 Evo III is a 600W solid-state bass amp head built around a tube emulation sound engine, delivering warm, driven tones without the weight of a valve-heavy design. Its front panel offers a 5-band EQ with dedicated Lo-Mid and Hi-Mid controls alongside bright and deep switches, giving players precise shaping across the full frequency range. On-board controls for compression, sub-harmonics, and overdrive (footswitchable via a dedicated input) expand the tonal palette considerably. Connectivity is well-equipped, with active and passive inputs, a balanced DI output switchable between pre- and post-EQ, tuner out, FX loop, and speaker output. A classic VU meter completes the front panel. At 10 kg, it's a manageable unit for a head delivering this level of power.
