About This Model

The Ashdown RM-500-EVO II is a 500-watt Class D bass amplifier head from the Rootmaster series, weighing just 2.1 kg - making it one of the more portable high-power bass heads available. It offers two instrument inputs (passive and active), a line input, and a full suite of outputs including balanced XLR DI, headphone out with mute, tuner out, two Speakon/jack combo speaker outputs (minimum 4 ohms), and an effects loop. On the front panel, a 5-band EQ with +/-15dB per band sits alongside a one-knob compressor, tube-emulated overdrive, sub-harmonic generator, a Shape button for classic Ashdown voicing, and a VU meter for level monitoring. Drive and sub-harmonic effects are footswitchable via an optional FS2 footswitch.
