About This Model

The Ashdown Rootmaster RM-500-EVO is a compact, lightweight bass amp head delivering 500 watts RMS into a 4-ohm load. Its hybrid design pairs an analog preamp with a Class D power section, and the front panel offers a 5-band EQ covering bass (100Hz) through treble (7kHz), a one-knob compressor, valve-emulated overdrive, and a sub-harmonic generator for deep low-end reinforcement. A dedicated Shape button recalls an ABM-style tone curve instantly, while the FX loop, balanced XLR DI output with cabinet simulation, headphone output, and footswitch capability for the drive and sub effects make it a versatile tool for stage and studio use. Speaker outputs are via two Neutrik Speakon/Jack combination jacks with a minimum 4-ohm load rating.
