About This Model

The Ashdown RM-500-EVO is a 500-watt bass amplifier head built around a lightweight, rigid chassis weighing just 5.7 lbs (2.6 kg). It offers a 5-band EQ covering bass at 100Hz through to treble shelving at 7kHz, alongside onboard compression, valve-emulated overdrive, and a sub-harmonic generator - giving players a broad palette of tones without external processing. Connectivity is comprehensive: passive and active instrument inputs, a balanced DI output, headphone output, FX loop, tuner output, and a line input for backing tracks, all alongside two Neutrik Speakon/Jack speaker outputs with a minimum 4-ohm load rating. A mute switch shifts the VU meter from orange to blue, and the drive and sub-harmonics sections are footswitchable via an optional FS2 footswitch.
