About This Model
The Arcam AVR550 is a 7.1-channel AV receiver with 7.1.4 preamp outputs, making it compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X height-channel configurations. It delivers 110 watts per channel (2 channels driven, 20Hz-20kHz) and 90 watts per channel across all 7 channels simultaneously. Connectivity is extensive: 7 HDMI inputs (6 × HDMI 2.0a/HDCP 2.2, plus one MHL-compatible), 3 HDMI outputs including Zone 2, 4 coaxial S/PDIF, 2 Toslink, 6 RCA phono inputs (with a built-in MM phono stage), USB, Ethernet, and 12 RCA preamp outputs. Dirac Live room correction is built in alongside an FM/DAB/DAB+ tuner and Spotify Connect, with a Cirrus CS42528 DAC handling digital-to-analogue conversion. At 15.5 kg it is a substantial unit built for a permanent installation.
