The Tascam DP-03SD is an 8-track digital Portastudio designed for straightforward multitrack recording without a computer. It records up to 2 tracks simultaneously via its two XLR/TRS combo inputs, and also features a pair of built-in omni-directional condenser microphones for quick capture. Each track has its own 45mm fader and 2-band shelving EQ, while onboard mastering effects — including EQ, limiter, and compressor — let you shape a finished stereo mix directly on the unit. A built-in tuner, metronome, and stereo reverb round out the feature set. Audio is stored to SD or SDHC cards (up to 32GB) at 44.1kHz/16-bit, and USB 2.0 connectivity allows WAV files to be imported or exported to a computer for further editing or archiving.
