About This Model

The Tannoy VNET2-Dante Bridge is a compact standalone audio networking device that integrates Tannoy VNET2 systems - such as the QFlex - into Dante digital audio networks. It converts Dante audio to AES3 or analog audio while simultaneously passing VNET control data, allowing legacy VNET2 speakers and SC1 controllers to operate within modern networked installations. The unit offers 16 total inputs, including four mic channels with phantom power via XLR alongside balanced line inputs, and connects to a network via standard RJ45 at 100 Base T or 1000 Base T over Category 5 UTP cable up to 1 km. Power is supplied via PoE or an optional 12 V supply, with a maximum draw of just 3 W. Audio performance is strong for a bridge device of this type: frequency response spans 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±0.2 dB, dynamic range reaches 114 dB (A-weighted), and THD sits below 0.005% at 1 kHz. The compact chassis measures 43 × 115 × 115 mm and weighs just 0.5 kg.
