About this model
The Sony TC-K661S is a flagship-class 3-head single cassette deck with auto-reverse, built to extract the best possible performance from compact cassette. Its three-motor transport - separate capstan, reel, and servo motors - keeps wow and flutter to just 0.065% (IEC), while full support for Type I, Type II, and Type IV (metal) tape means it suits virtually any cassette in your collection. Noise reduction covers Dolby B, C, and S, plus Dolby HX Pro headroom extension, with signal-to-noise reaching 85dB on metal tape with Dolby S engaged. Frequency response extends across the full 20-20,000Hz bandwidth on metal tape, and a semi-automatic bias and level calibration system lets you fine-tune the deck to any tape stock. Practical features include Title Search AMS, a motorized cassette compartment with signature green illumination, a real-time 3-digit counter, and CD Synchro capability via the optional RM-J701 remote.
