About This Model
The sE Electronics Z3300a is a large-diaphragm, multi-pattern FET condenser microphone built around two 27mm gold-sputtered diaphragms and Class A FET electronics. It offers switchable polar patterns - cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 - making it versatile across vocal tracking, instrument recording, and stereo techniques. A 100Hz low-cut filter and -10dB pad are onboard, and the self-noise sits at 20dB(A) with a maximum SPL handling of 125dB, giving it a useful dynamic range for both delicate sources and louder instruments. It connects via standard 3-pin XLR and requires 48V phantom power.
