About this model
The Roland TR-505 is a compact, battery-powered digital drum machine built around 8-bit sample-based sounds, with 16 drum tones and 5 Latin percussion voices across 8 voices of polyphony. Sixteen non-velocity-sensitive pattern pads handle programming and playing, with space for 48 user patterns, 48 preset patterns and 6 songs. Connectivity includes MIDI In/Out, stereo main outputs (L/R or mono), a headphone jack, a start/stop foot pedal jack and tape input/output for data storage, and the pads can also send MIDI data to control other gear.
