About This Model

The Roland Super JV-1080 is a 2U rackmount sound module built around a sample-based synthesis engine, delivering 64 voices of polyphony and 16-part multitimbral operation - making it well suited to complex studio arrangements and live rack setups alike. Each voice can layer up to four waveforms, shaped by a 12dB/octave Time Variant Filter with resonance and its own dedicated envelope. The unit supports up to four SR-JV80 expansion cards, significantly extending its onboard sound palette, and offers 40 insert effects with per-part send control. Six stereo outputs plus a master output give considerable flexibility for routing individual parts to a mixer or DAW, and full MIDI In, Out, and Thru connectivity keeps it at home in any MIDI-driven rig.
