About this model

The Roland MSQ-700 is an 8-track multitrack MIDI sequencer rather than a sampler or sound module, so it has no keys or built-in sound engine and is designed to drive other gear. Each track can record up to 16 MIDI channels, with real-time and step-time recording and memory for up to 6,500 notes across the eight tracks. It syncs via MIDI clock, DIN Sync and tape sync, and can convert between MIDI clock and DIN Sync. It also speaks Roland's DCB protocol, which makes it a natural partner for vintage Roland synths such as the Juno-60 and Jupiter-8. Sequences are held in battery-backed internal RAM, with cassette tape backup. Operation is tactile and tape-machine-like, with LEDs for track and status rather than a display.

A great opportunity to own a Roland MSQ-700 at this price point.
