About this model
The Roland GR-55 is a guitar synthesizer and multi-effects floor unit that pairs with a hex pickup via its 13-pin GK input. It runs a triple-core engine of two PCM synthesizers and one COSM guitar modeling engine, offering 910 editable PCM synth tones alongside COSM guitar modes. Separate outputs for synth/effects and the dry guitar signal allow independent amplification, while the assignable expression pedal can control up to 9 parameters at once. A built-in 20-second looper with infinite overdubs, a USB audio player for backing tracks, and EZ Edit with 270 presets plus 297 user slots round out the package, with USB, MIDI in/out and a headphone output for studio and stage use.
