About This Model

The RØDE Procaster is a professional-grade dynamic broadcast microphone built around a cardioid polar pattern that delivers a tight pickup field, effectively rejecting off-axis room noise and ambient sound. Its frequency response runs from 75 Hz to 18 kHz, with a tailored curve optimised specifically for voice, making it a natural fit for broadcast, podcasting, and voiceover work. The all-metal body houses an internally shock-mounted capsule to suppress handling vibration, and a built-in pop filter tackles plosives at the source. Output is via a balanced 3-pin XLR connector at 320 ohms impedance, and because it is a dynamic element it requires no phantom power - connecting straight to any standard mic preamp or mixer input.
